Qpinch – founded in 2012 – developed a new patented technology to recover and transform waste heat into carbon neutral heat. Qpinch is the first step towards industrial carbon neutrality. The demonstration of its first megawatt scale installations is in full execution and makes the technology available now. It enables large scale processing plants to reduce carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency with more than 10%.
Valerie, who joined Qpinch in 2022, will head the management team and is taking over from co-founder Wouter Ducheyne, who will continue as Chief Technology Officer, focusing on bringing the Qpinch technology to operational excellence at large scale. Christian Heeren will continue as Chief Commercial Officer.
Valerie Dejaeghere:” I look forward to build on the great progress that the team has achieved over the previous years and to lead our efforts to put Qpinch on the map as a key energy efficiency solution for the refining, chemical and food industries.” Wouter Ducheyne: “It is a real honor to hand over the lead to Valerie. With her experience and background, we will grow the Qpinch solution towards an industrial standard for carbon neutral steam.”
Prior to joining Qpinch, Valerie had a 20+ year career at ExxonMobil, where she held several national and international management positions in fuels and chemical businesses, both in Europe and USA.
The board of directors also appointed Carl van Camp as new chairman. Carl is succeeding Achiel Ossaer, who chaired the board since 2012.
Carl Van Camp – “I strongly believe in the Qpinch team and the value of its technology to increase the energy efficiency of the industry. I look forward to sharing my experience with the management and the board, and help Qpinch to bring these solutions to the companies, supporting them in their zero net target”. Wouter Ducheyne: “A sincere thank you to Achiel for his continuous support and contributions as chairman and being a mentor in the last 10 years.” Christian Heeren: “He has been instrumental in bringing the breakthrough Qpinch technology from early-stage research to operations. Moreover, was the driver in the foundations of our Qpinch DNA.”
